It is difficult for me to imagine how I ever could have become a pastor without first being an ACtivator. Through dozens of ACtivator events like Youth Quakes at Gilmont, SHYC at AC, Presbytery events around the Synod, and more, John Williams shaped and sent us far and wide to people of all ages to keep spreading the same good news Jesus delivered, “You’re gifted and beloved, and every little thing is gonna be alright.” This is the heart of what it is to be a pastor, so on days that I’m not sure what I should do in ministry, I try to start with what I learned as an ACtivator, and let others know: You are gifted. You are loved. And God’s got this.
