Sherman Symphony Orchestra has announced a series of TV broadcasts featuring selections from its season of performances held at Kidd-Key Auditorium in Sherman. The inaugural concert aired on Saturday, September 29, 2012, on Channel 12, KXII’s CBS-HD. This broadcast will be followed by at least six others still to be announced during the Symphony’s concert season. “These broadcasts will enable us to reach new and substantially larger audiences in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma,” said the Symphony’s Music Director and long-time conductor Maestro Daniel Dominick.

The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals held live oral arguments Friday on the Austin College campus. The panel, the highest state court of appeals for criminal cases in Texas, heard arguments presented for two cases: State v. Brian Davis and State vs. Vaughn Bell. Eight judges of the Court were in Sherman for the session.
