For nearly twenty years, Bain Ennis has provided leadership, operations and event planning expertise for numerous clients in the public and private sectors both on the domestic and world stage. He is a leader with proven skills in the strategic planning, coordination and implementation of complex operations in diverse, often contentious environments.
From 1998-1999, Mr. Ennis was the White House Associate Director of Advance. He managed White House advance teams that supported domestic and international travel by President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. In this role, he assisted in the development of event themes and visuals to meet administration policy goals and directives.
Mr. Ennis managed advance team operations, implementing presidential visits in the U.S. and overseas. He negotiated on behalf of the White House for development of state visits with Heads of State and other government officials in Poland, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Ghana, Chile, Bolivia, Ireland, East Germany, Bulgaria and Romania.
In 2000, Mr. Ennis, in addition to work on behalf of his own company, the LoneStar Group, partnered with the Reffe Group of Washington D.C. For the past 14 years the Reffe Group has produced 17 high level political events for the German Marshal Fund of the United States, currently planning the tenth anniversary of Brussels Forum in Brussels Belgium and the 3rd year of Atlantic Dialogues in Marrakech Morocco, both high level conferences bringing together world leaders, policy elites, opinion makers and the media to discuss critical issues facing the trans-Atlantic community, both north and south.
In addition to their work in developing and producing branded annual international events, since 2000 the Reffe Group has worked on behalf of the governments of Slovakia, Albania, Lithuania, Latvia, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Georgia and Montenegro as consultants, advising these governments in their efforts to join the institutions of NATO and the EU.
Mr. Ennis has extensive experience on political campaigns, having provided strategic advice and advance services for a variety of state and national level campaigns including: Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, Richard Gephardt, Dianne Feinstein, Paul Tsongas, Michael Dukakis and James Florio.
Mr. Ennis has a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
