Become A Peer Tutor | Access Services | Exam Accommodations
The Academic Skills Center (ASC) programs are designed to help all students develop skills that could maximize their academic potential.
Our free services for students include:
- content-specific tutoring
- organizational tutoring to assist with time management, organization, and stress management
- group review sessions
- workshops for skill development and learning strategies like note-taking and test-taking
- writing assistance
- access to textbooks, solutions manuals, and more resources
- services for students with documented disabilities
Academic Peer Tutors are available by appointment or walk-ins if available.
The ASC respects the right of Peer Tutors to require that tutees wear masks during appointments.

- Register for a tutee account
- Go to the Academic Skills Center Spring 2022 Calendar to reserve your appointment
- To submit a request for an appointment time outside of a tutor’s published availability, please contact asc@austincollege.edu.

Non-ASC Tutoring on Campus
The Scarbrough Center for Writing (SCW) is located in Abell Library and has services Sunday - Friday
Peer Research Assistants are also available in Abell Library
Math Lab is located in IC 124 and has hours on Monday - Thursday evenings
Computer Science tutoring is available in the Keck Lab, IC 120, Sunday-Thursday in the evenings
Chemistry Department tutoring occurs in IC 310 on Monday - Wednesday evenings and Thursdays 11-1
