Students are able to take advantage of international JanTerm opportunities, which the political science department has a history of faculty planning and leading. These courses focus on comparative analyses of political institutions within and across states. Past themes include Identity Politics, Democratization, and Formal Institutional Design and include travel to countries such as the Czech Republic, Spain, Denmark, and Taiwan. Many students within our International Relations major, also choose to study abroad for a semester, as this degree requires foreign language coursework. The political science department works closely with these students to help them be able to transfer their credit abroad back to our program.
