Occupation: Lauren is the Assistant City Manager for the City of Sachse (Sak-See), Texas. As the first incumbent Assistant City Manager, Lauren oversees Finance, Human Resources, Leisure Services, Neighborhood Services, IT, Communications, and handles various development-based special projects in the City Manager’s Office.
Lauren is very involved in the local government profession. She served as the Assistants’ Representative on the Texas City Management Association’s Board of Directors and served as the President of the Urban Management Association of North Texas. She currently serves on the Professional Development Committee for the Texas City Management Association. Lauren is also currently serving as a general administration delegate for the Local Government 2030 initiative. Lauren is a graduate of Leadership Mesquite and Leadership North Texas University.
Lauren holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Austin College. While at Austin College, Lauren was active in Student Assembly, was a member of the Omega Zeta sorority, and was a little sister for the Chi Tau Chi fraternity. Lauren grew up in Frisco, Texas. She lives in Murphy with her husband Jordan and her son, Calvin.
