In February 2018, The Morris Foundation of Fort Worth committed $7 million as the lead gift in the renovation of the former Moody Science Center, which will be renamed in memory of Jack B. Morris. Moody Science Center was built in 1964 and remained in use until 2013 when the IDEA Center was constructed to provide a modern and updated campus home for the Sciences. Upon renovation, the former Moody Center will house the Department of Economics and Business Administration, the Johnson Center for Faculty Development and Excellence in Teaching, and a variety of lab and collaborative study spaces.
