Major: Neuroscience; Minor: Biology
Nick is currently a resident in neurosurgery of University of Tennessee. He earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern (Class of 2022). While at Austin College (Class of 2018), Nick majored in Neuroscience with a minor in Biology. In his senior year he defended an honors thesis in neuroscience with Dr. Renee Countryman entitled “Ampicillin-induced Dysbiosis in Male Long-Evans Rats Does Not Alter Memory Or Anxiety.” While at Austin College, Nick was the president of the Gamma Gamma Gamma fraternity, the Pre-Health Society, and the editor of Acumen — the College’s research journal. During summers, Nick participated an undergraduate research internships with McGovern Medical School where he assisted with spine surgery research. Today he continues to utilize his experiences in the sciences and research that he gained while at Austin College to produce research in neurosurgery.
