The summer clinical psychology practicum gives you the opportunity to participate in service activities in the community that involves the application of mental and behavioral health services to children and adolescents within the educational setting. This practicum experience partners with Sherman ISD and the extended school year services to support and deliver evidenced-based interventions to students with neurodevelopmental disorders in kindergarten through 11th grade. Students will learn through didactic training and coaching while supporting students in the educational classroom and meet for supervision and consultation with the course instructor. This course fulfills an applied learning credit requirement.
