NASA’s planet-hunting TESS mission has revealed a new exoplanet roughly the size of Saturn. The planet is described in a paper that will be published in The Astronomical Journal co-authored by Dr. David Baker, Physics faculty and Director of the Adams Observatory, and four of his research students, among roughly 100 other contributors.

Austin College students, faculty, and staff visited Corpus Christi and Rockport, Texas, over spring break for the annual Alternative Spring Break service trip. The groups cleaned parks that were damaged by the hurricane, clearing pathways in the bird sanctuaries, weeding gardens for the pollinators, and removing harmful vines from trees in the parks.
