Motor Vehicle Rules & Regulations (including motorcycles)
The control of traffic and parking is a necessary part of the efficient operation of the institution. Austin College would like to be in the position to provide each community member with parking adjacent to their residence hall, classroom or office, but this is not feasible. Therefore, each community member is expected to schedule adequate time in their daily routine to park properly, either on campus or along an area street, and still arrive at their destination on time. Driving and parking on campus is considered a privilege rather than a right. Abuse of this privilege can result in suspension of that privilege as outlined in this manual. All members of the Austin College community should familiarize themselves with the rules contained herein, and abide by them at all times.
Bicycle Rules & Regulations
With the concerns about the environment and rising costs of vehicle ownership and insurance, many people are choosing bicycles as their primary mode of transportation, as well as recreation. Bicycles serve college students very well, and are growing in popularity on college campuses. The purpose of this pamphlet is to provide information to bicycle owners, so that their college bicycling experience will be safe and enjoyable.
