The Austin College Service Station is the embodiment of the deep-rooted campus culture of “Servant Leadership,” an attribute made perhaps even more remarkable because most of the volunteer hours given by our students are not required, but rather are desired by the young men and women who attend college here. Our students find the Texoma area, the state of Texas, and even the world to be full of opportunity to help others in need. Our students desire to make a difference in the world, and their enormous energy and time commitment resulted in 13,500 hours of volunteer service during the 2008-2009 academic year.
