Austin College student clubs range from the academic (art, biology, chemistry, pre-law, pre-med, physics) to ethnic, environmental, gender issues, political, religious, athletic, cultural, and international relations clubs.
The Student Assembly is the representative body of the students of Austin College. Student Assembly is the chief student governmental organization that actively advocates for students in campus issues and genuinely seeks to affect positive change by encouraging communication and involvement.
The Austin College Athletics compete at the NCAA Division III level in men’s baseball, basketball, football, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, and water polo; and in women’s basketball, softball, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, volleyball, and water polo. Austin College also hosts both cheerleading and spirit squads. Intramurals include flag football, co-ed volleyball, basketball, table tennis, soccer, and tennis.
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) works in conjunction with the Director of Student Activities to coordinate activities on campus. This lively group initiates, plans and carries out many entertaining events. CAB sponsors many of the comedians, bands, entertainers, participatory programs, and a movie series featured throughout the year.
Esports is a newly launched club team providing a collegial atmosphere for students interested in the ever-growing technology industry. Through esports, teams compete worldwide in high-level strategy electronic gaming.
Austin College Greek Life has 8 local sororities and 9 local fraternities, with Rush held every spring.
The Austin College Service Station coordinates community service activities ranging from Habitat for Humanity and the Alternative Spring Break program to the Saturday Morning Program, which allows students to interact with neighborhood children one Saturday a month in cultural, recreational, and social activities.
