"In our Kerrville area, we do have some alumni and several of us are very involved in the Riverside Nature Center here."

"I am leading an effort in downtown Dallas to create a 'community garden/urban farm' through First Presbyterian Church and The Stewpot. If possible, I would love to include any AC alumni, students, faculty or staff in this project. FPC owns the property and we have just begun the planning process. I expect it will be 12 - 24 months before the garden plots are available to downtown residents, Stewpot clients, church staff or members, our FPC Day School children, Sunday School children, Saturday School children. Please let me know if there is interest. Contact Peter Schulze for more information.

"In the booming town of Jericho, Vermont, (population 5015) we will participate in the state-wide Green Up: Vermont’s Green Up Day takes on Irene. For information, visit www.greenupvermont.org."

"Hello! I was psyched to see that GreenServe is thriving and that alumni get to play a part this year! I have a garden project at the school I work at in Galveston, Weis Middle School, and I'd love to register a garden day at the school as a part of Green Serve. The school garden involves students in learning the basics of science in a hands-on way, while beautifying the school."
"Over 30 Weis parents and students, 6 Austin College alumni, and 3 Galveston A&M students came out to make our garden learning space an inviting and thriving place for projects in science, arts, and more. We will continue working in the garden each Saturday until the end of school.
Highlights included: feeding the chickens grubs found in the dirt, planting tomatoes donated by Home Depot, and giving our trees a much-needed pruning make-over."
For GreenServe, Dean Rylander, Melanie Rylander, and I helped plant 800 tempranillo vines at a small startup winery/vineyard in Saint Joe, Texas, called Blue Ostrich Winery.
